Richard Kubanik

Richard E. Kubanik is an Associate Director in the U.S. Public Finance Housing Enterprises Group. Richard is responsible for providing credit ratings to various housing bond issuers, including State and Local Housing Finance Agencies and not-for-profit borrowers. Through the application of relevant criteria, he performs credit assessments for primary market new issues and ongoing surveillance of existing issues. Richard is also responsible for monitoring industry and economic trends, evaluating complex cash flow analyses, publishing research reports, and presenting recommendations to internal credit rating committees.

Richard began his career in the affordable housing industry twelve years ago as an Analyst at Caine Mitter & Associates, a full service independent financial advisory firm. He then spent eight years as an Analyst at Moody’s Investors Service covering housing and state revolving fund credits.

Richard holds an M.B.A from NYU Stern and a bachelor of science degree in Economics/Finance from Vanderbilt University.
